We're looking for a transformational technical leader with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. We are facing several engineering challenges in critical foundational compute services that power the next gen OCI Cloud and the associated tools and orchestration mechanisms. We need you to challenge existing engineering assumptions and boundaries services that were laid down years ago to scale to our next cloud generation.

These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. This team in Oracle Health is responsible for solution architecture, implementation, and full-service lifecycle of delivery. Leveraging traditional technologies today (e.g. Exadata, vSphere, OLVM/KVM, F5, K8s, SAN & NAS…) you will be patterning modern cloud-first constructs that will be the bedrock of our next generation of capabilities (e.g. Autonomous Database, OKE, zero-trust tenancy/compartments, OCI LB, autoscaling compute…).

The ideal candidate for this role must have a strong software and systems background with the ability to operate at the intersection of distributed applications, compute, networking, database and OS.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Exceptional communication skills, technically fearless and a strong product sense with the ability to seek and absorb business context, lead, and develop engineering culture, and exhibit good judgement exercised through developed critical thinking.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $136,600 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

• Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
