Account Manager

We are looking for a driven Account Manager to support our Sales Team to maintain and further grow our business and client relationships. Main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and growing the business and building dependable relationships with customer contacts.
  • Daily maintenance of the account, working with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to create and implement strategies for maximizing current business and obtaining new business at the assigned OEM(s).
  • Negotiating product pricing and commercial recovery strategies for all commercially related events ensuring a favorable outcome for BorgWarner.
  • Developing sales forecasts for use in the LRP and monitoring market trends throughout the year for use in monthly forecast adjustments.
  • Providing global coordination on customer issues where required.
  • Complying with contract review procedures and BW commercial policies.
  • Developing and deploying comprehensive customer strategies that improve the profitability and growth.
  • Articulating a clear understanding of our market share, competitive position, and profitability in the assigned account.
  • Utilizing company procedures/tools and taking ownership of monitoring performance on key supplier metrics and pursuing corrective action plans as appropriate.
  • Preparing and sharing on a regular basis all the requested reporting material.

Required profile includes:

  • Bachelor degree in a technical and/or economics field.
  • Master degree will be considered as a plus.
  • Experience with and understanding of powertrain or cooling systems and components.
  • Proactive personal attitude to work independently and bring assigned tasks to final achievements.
  • Strong negotiation skills and communication skills including the ability to present to customers.
  • Fluent in English spoken and written.
  • Skilled in MS Office.
