We are looking for a strong Account Manager who will support our Sales Team to maintain and grow our Business and client relationships.

Main responsibilities:

  • The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing the business with BMW as well as building dependable relationships customer contacts that are key for decision making and influencing according BorgWarners needs.
  • The Account Manager is responsible for the daily maintenance of the Account, works with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to create and implement strategies for maximizing current business and obtaining new business at the assigned OEM(s)
  • Negotiates product pricing and commercial recovery strategies for all commercially related events ensuring a favorable outcome for BorgWarner.
  • Develops sales forecasts for use in the LRP and monitors market trends throughout the year for use in monthly forecast adjustments
  • Provides global coordination on customer issues where required
  • Complies with contract review procedures and BW commercial policies
  • Develops (with input from cross-functional teams) and deploys comprehensive customer strategies that improve the profitability and growth.
  • Articulates a clear understanding of our market share, competitive position, and profitability in the assigned account
  • Takes ownership of total customer satisfaction, monitoring our performance on key supplier metrics and pursuing corrective action plans as appropriate.

Required Profile:

  • Master degree or similar in a technical and/or economics field
  • Strong OE automotive sales account management and/or engineering experience preferably around 6 years.
  • Knowledge / experience with powertrain or cooling systems / components /
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to present to customers
  • Knowledge of client BMW and their internal processes preferred
  • German and English proficiency
  • Skilled in MS Office
