Position Purpose:

As an Associate Consultant with Corporate Planning and Strategic Services (CPSS), you will lead and support initiatives that span multiple business areas from conception to execution. You will partner with senior leaders across the organization to drive success by helping them anticipate needs, overcome challenges, and advance opportunities.

Location:

This role is primarily onsite, located in Columbia, South Carolina, with an expectation of 3–4 days per week in the office with some remote flexibility based on business needs.

What You'll Do:

  1. Improvement and Innovation: Use a consultative mindset to frame AI initiatives around business outcomes, including efficiency, quality, risk reduction, customer/member experience, or cost containment.
  2. Business Change Implementation: Drive progress and resolve implementation issues through effective stakeholder collaboration; negotiate and manage deadlines based on the requirements of the business.
  3. Effective Communication: Ability to utilize effective visual communication and storytelling techniques to influence and convey critical business insights.
  4. Influencing and Collaboration: Proven capabilities to proactively partner with individuals/teams to win support and champion ideas from ideation to execution, as well as display qualities of a leader, that engage, inspire, align, and move people to act
  5. Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of key cross-functional business processes within a specific business unit to provide business managers with critical data to make key tactical decisions.
  6. Manage assigned tasks in projects and works with customers to negotiate and manage deadlines based on the requirements of the business.
  7. Identify, research, evaluates, and quantify all aspects of a business solution or opportunity. Consult with corporation's managers from front line supervisors up to vice presidents engaged in the design, development, communication, and implementation of said business solutions or opportunities.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

  • Bachelor's

  • Associates degree plus 2 years job-related work experience.

  • OR 4 total years of job-related work experience.

  • PAHM certification within 1 year of hire.

We Prefer That You Have the Following:

  • 1+ years of Change Management, Process Improvement, and/or Implementation experience.

  • Some exposure to partnering and engaging with business leaders to influence key business decisions.

  • Some experience working within the Healthcare or Health Insurance industries in the payor or provider segments.

  • Some background working with pharmacy or clinical leaders to help drive value on key initiatives.
