Project Coordinator, Global Medical Operational Excellence

The Project Coordinator, Global Medical Operational Excellence will help manage multiple projects that support the Global Medical functions. Reporting to the Head of Global Medical Strategy & Execution, this role will be part of a team of strategy and execution leads that collaborate to drive consistency across the Global Medical units and support Medical as a strategic cross-functional partner. The Project Coordinator will provide organization, administrative and project management support for key projects and publications systems support.

What You'll Do

  • Provide project management support for Medical Affairs initiatives – Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of medical affairs projects, including pre- and post-event coordination such as agenda development, meeting summaries, and assignment of clear ownership for next steps.
  • Support tactical execution and team accountability – Maintain and update project calendars, trackers, and documentation to ensure clear accountability across teams. Support the preparation and facilitation of team meetings. Assist in the creation of dashboards and quarterly reports for leadership, assisting teams with tracking progress against goals.
  • Provide support for Biogen's Publications Systems & Processes – Manage system data maintenance such as ensuring data accuracy and timelines and running related monthly reports for stakeholder reviews. Support onboarding of new agencies to Biogen systems, serving as the point of contact for training and troubleshooting. Monitor the publication systems mailboxes and support the Publication Community of Practice.
  • Maintain knowledge management systems – Oversee and update repositories, websites, and systems such as SharePoint and Synapse. Ensure smooth flow of work items and prompt follow-up when needed.
  • Provide system navigation and compliance support – Offer guidance and training on Biogen platforms to enhance team compliance, efficiency, and impact, as needed.

Qualifications

Education/ Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree is required; 1-3 years' experience in the pharma/biotech industry is required.
  • Experience in project management and/or finance is required; high attention to detail, strong facilitation skills, and ability to execute in a timely manner is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills, energy and enthusiasm with a positive outlook is required; must possess strong emotional intelligence (interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills) with a collaborative, team-oriented approach and solid work ethic.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and resourcefulness with a demonstrated ability to work in an accurate manner is required; Ability to oversee and coordinate several activities and stakeholders is required.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate and identify issues and propose solutions or take steps to resolve them is required.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to understand how a collection of ideas are related is required.
  • Quick learner, goal oriented, and results driven with excellent problem-solving skills is required.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently or within teams is required; high degree of innovation and enthusiasm for identifying, prioritizing, and executing on business process and system improvements is required.
  • Excellent command of computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point, etc.) Experience with Smartsheet or other collaborative work project management platforms is strongly preferred.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $78,000.00-$101,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity. Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
