Job Summary:
The Observation Unit Tech assists the nursing and medical staff by performing selected procedures and tasks for the care of the Observation Unit patients. They also perform duties as Unit Secretary/Monitor tech, thus having both a clinical and clerical aspect to their role. All functions must be within the scope of training and instruction received and is under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:
1. High School diploma or equivalent with recent experience in a health care setting providing patient care.
2. BCLS certified within the first 90 days.
3. Complete hospital-based monitor tech training within six months of hire.
