As the Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) this role will oversee application(s) within Global Technology (GT) that require analysis, development, production support & maintenance activities. This role requires responsibility operationally and administratively for other team members (BA, PMs, Developers, etc.). This role may work in different methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Strong understanding of the applications and products under their portfolio, including function, business and key operational process and ensuring teams deliver value to the business with the appropriate stakeholders regardless of methodology (Waterfall, Agile, etc.). Ensures the software development lifecycle (SDLC) is followed consistently & effectively through CI/CD, tooling, and collaboration with stakeholders. A keen ability to execute and deliver results, including delivering technical projects on time and on budget through planning, execution, and delivery. Approach tasks proactively and anticipate needs of the business & team members. Think quickly and have the flexibility to (re-) prioritize multiple work streams/ projects/ tasks without sacrificing quality. Act with a sense of urgency. Partner with appropriate key business stakeholder and key GT team members to understand and document business requirements and changes required for the applications. Ensure that requirements are communicated clearly to the development team and accurately reflected in the final product. Work with the Business Analysts to ensure that requirements/user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and understood by the development team. Ensure collaborative refinement sessions are scheduled with the team and stakeholders. Responsible for gathering estimates for applications and products that this role is responsible for and partnering with appropriate team members to support the estimation process. Work with the appropriate team members within GT to ensure security is integrated into the development process and are compliant with AXA XL's security policies. Responsible for ensuring that the team complies with relevant audit requirements and standards including remediation activities, documentation of processes and procedures. Continuously review and improve processes and practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness. This includes implementing Agile/Scrum methodologies, automating processes, and leveraging new technologies. Responsible for developing, mentoring and providing HR oversight for assigned team members. Manage vendors, including contract negotiations in partnership with Procurement to drive on agreed business outcomes, ensuring stable and resilient production support services. This role is also required to define, negotiate statement of work (SOW) with vendors, particularly when outsourcing development and/or support, which includes defining the work scope of work, deliverables, timelines, pricing, and ensuring that the SOW aligns with AXA XL's business and IT strategy. Agile Role: In Agile, ensure the appropriate management of the delivery of work in Agile sprints, working closely with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to prioritize the backlog, facilitating sprint planning and review meetings, and ensuring that the team is delivering value to the business with each iteration. This may be alongside a Project Manager if for project demand or the TDM may need to lead for smaller work such as Small Change.
Optional Responsibilities:
Technical Direction: Provide technical leadership and direction to the development team, while also encouraging the team to take ownership of technical decisions and solutions and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This may include driving the right key technical decisions alongside the Engineering team, ensuring that they are reviewing code, and that the team is following best practices for software development. Coding Standards: Responsible for ensuring that developers adhere to coding standards and best practices, through code reviews, training, and continuous improvement. People & Workload Management: Active people management, which involves ensuring that the right resources are assigned to projects, and that they are utilized effectively and efficiently.

Planning and Execution: Expert level experience in planning, executing and delivering complex, large-scale initiatives or operation area on time and within budget. Ability to develop and manage project budgets and optimize resource utilization required. Must be highly detailed oriented, well organized, able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and serve as a point of escalation for issues. Agile Methodologies: Strong experience understanding Agile methodologies required. People Management: Strong experience developing, mentoring and providing HR oversight for assigned team members. Vendor Management: Strong working experience with vendor management including contractor negotiations, outcome-based contracts, and effectively managing vendors & contractors.
Experience leading large, complex projects. Technical expertise in DevSec Ops practices preferred. Proficient with MS Office Suite.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD $ 114,500-180,300 Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience and location.
