Key Account Manager – Public Sector

The Key Account Manager (KAM) – Public Sector in Avetium Consult Limited is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with government and public sector clients. This role involves identifying opportunities to deliver tailored business technology solutions, such as IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise software, and digital transformation services, to public sector institutions. The KAM acts as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, ensuring that the company's offerings align with the client's policy goals and digital agendas.

We require the ideal candidate to have a deep understanding of the public sector procurement environment, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to align the company's technology portfolio with complex public sector needs. The role is central to driving revenue growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting the company's mission of enabling digital transformation through innovative and secure technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key public sector clients.
  • Identify client needs and collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver customized business technology solutions.
  • Drive sales and meet/exceed revenue targets through proactive account development.
  • Manage complex government procurement processes and ensure compliance.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with decision-makers and influencers in the public sector.
  • Work with Pre-Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Stay informed on public sector trends, funding initiatives, and policy changes impacting digital transformation.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and account documentation in CRM systems.

This role is critical in ensuring that public sector clients receive the highest value from our solutions while positioning the company as a trusted partner in digital transformation. The Key Account Manager – Public Sector will operate at the intersection of technology, policy, and partnership—driving mutual growth and strategic outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field (mandatory). A Master's degree in Business (MBA), Public Policy, or Technology Management will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development, with a minimum of 3–5 years focusing on public sector clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling complex technology solutions (e.g., IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, enterprise software).
  • Prior experience navigating government procurement processes, public sector bidding/tendering (RFP, RFQ), and compliance requirements.
