Location: Austin, TX 78745 Type: 4-month Contract-to-Hire Work Environment: On-site, Call Center Compensation: $28.85–$31.25/hr + potential $5k–$7k bonus once converted

About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Support Team Lead to support a fast-paced communication center and guide a team of support representatives. You'll handle technical escalations, mentor team members, and help ensure service excellence across phone, email, alarms, and chat channels.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a team of Technical Support Representatives
• Perform skills gap analysis for individuals and the team
• Assist in creating and delivering technical training for multiple skill levels
• Standardize reporting procedures and evaluate current systems
• Troubleshoot client issues, research resolutions, and guide users through corrective steps
• Monitor SLAs and perform quality assurance checks
• Escalate high-priority issues appropriately
• Serve as technical and soft-skills lead for your assigned team
• Contribute to internal knowledge base
• Provide ad-hoc coaching and training during low-volume periods
• Recommend system or process improvements
• Conduct follow-up calls as needed and stay updated on system changes

What You Bring

• 2+ years of Team Lead experience in a contact or call center
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-motivation skills
• Excellent customer service & active listening abilities
• Strong problem-solving & conflict-resolution skills
• Proficiency with remote desktops, G-Suite, and OS navigation
• Experience with BAS, HVAC, or relay logic lighting controls (preferred)
• Excellent communication and grammar
• Ability to organize documentation and maintain detailed notes
• High school diploma or GED required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
