AstraZeneca is looking for a Safety, Health and Environment Lead to manage a significant functional area within Safety, Health and Environment or manage the Safety, Health and Environment function at a group of smaller plants. The role involves contributing to the development and driving implementation of operational plans to achieve Safety, Health and Environment strategy objectives, ensuring compliance with Safety, Health and Environment standards, and managing the coordination of resources within areas of responsibility.
The candidate should have a degree level or equivalent qualifications, sound understanding of Safety, Health and Environment and regulatory requirements, and project management, change management, and people management skills. They should also have good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, technical expertise in at least one Safety, Health and Environment area, and competence in several others. Communication skills and the ability to influence others are essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of all relevant legislation, industry practice, and company standards and expectations.
