Aston Carter is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a global leader in the consumer goods industry to identify a Benefits Administrator with experience supporting HR systems and benefits operations across the U.S. and Canada. This role is critical in ensuring seamless benefits delivery, compliance, and data integrity across multiple platforms and vendors.
• Coordinate transfer of eligibility and demographic data to Fidelity and carriers for plan administration and premium billing.
• Review and approve plan rules, rates, and eligibility logic in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Fidelity.
• Support Open Enrollment preparation and execution, including plan updates, communication review, testing, and carrier coordination.
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and Canadian regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA, provincial standards).
• Monitor and validate monthly billing reports from Fidelity and carriers; prepare documentation for Finance to process payments.
• Maintain benefits documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Respond to escalated employee inquiries and coordinate resolution with Fidelity and carriers.
• Support COBRA, direct billing, EOI, and QMCSO processes as defined by plan rules.
• Coordinate with HRIS and Payroll teams to ensure accurate data feeds and payroll deduction processing.
• Assist with compliance reporting including ACA filings, W-2 cost reporting, and Canadian year-end reporting (e.g., T4A).
• Support Canadian benefits administration including provincial compliance, bilingual communications, and coordination with Canadian carriers.
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities and onboarding of new team members, including documentation and training support.
• 5–7 years of experience in benefits administration, including U.S. and/or Canadian populations.
• Experience managing benefits in an outsourced environment with third-party administrators (e.g., Fidelity).
• Strong understanding of U.S. regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA) and Canadian provincial requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Spanish and/or French a plus).
• Attention to detail and analytical capabilities
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.
