Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing high-quality support to customers by answering inbound phone calls, responding to emails, and resolving inquiries efficiently. This role requires navigating SAP/ERP systems to input orders, research customer issues, update account information, and support order-to-cash processes. Prior experience in a corporate customer service environment is essential, while experience in the manufacturing industry is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Answer inbound customer calls with professionalism and a strong phone presence.
  2. Respond promptly and clearly to customer emails, ensuring accurate and personable communication.
  3. Navigate SAP/ERP systems to enter orders, check inventory, track shipments, update customer accounts, and resolve issues.
  4. Troubleshoot order discrepancies, delivery concerns, and product-related questions by collaborating with internal departments such as production, logistics, sales, and accounting.
  5. Document customer interactions and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  6. Maintain strong product and process knowledge to effectively assist customers.
  7. Support overall customer satisfaction initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement projects within the department.
  8. Escalate complex issues to leadership when necessary while maintaining customer confidence and trust.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of corporate customer service experience (call center, manufacturing, distribution, or business-to-business preferred).
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Excellent phone etiquette with a confident, professional, and friendly tone.
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly in email correspondence.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused with customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting customers in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with order-to-cash workflows, logistics coordination, or inventory-based customer support.
  • Experience with CRM tools or ticketing systems.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
