Account Manager

As a member of the Commercial Lines Team, the Account Manager will provide advice and assistance to agency clients on commercial line products. This role is pivotal in managing an assigned book of business, supporting clients, and collaborating with account executives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned book of business.
• Assist agency clients with all commercial insurance products and services.
• Support Account Executives by delivering detailed quotes from various markets.
• Complete new applications, renewals, and supplemental questionnaires.
• Develop and round out accounts; submit appropriate monthly reports.
• Follow up with insurance companies on adverse decisions.
• Adhere to the pre-renewal customer contact program.
• Respond to all inquiries in a timely and professional fashion.
• Resolve RMV issues and acquire a working knowledge of procedures and processes.
• Maintain adequate records and documentation.
• Participate in special projects as necessary.

Essential Skills:

• Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance.
• Experience in insurance, account management, commercial insurance, property & casualty.
• Strong track record of developing and nurturing client and company relationships.
• High-level account management skills for commercial lines insurance agency.
• Experience dealing with large accounts/customers across multiple states.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
• Working knowledge of Sagitta and other desktop applications.
• Self-motivated and action-oriented.

Work Environment:

The position offers an opportunity to join a growing insurance agency with potential for career growth. The role operates from 8am to 4:30pm, with an early close at 3pm on Fridays. Candidates can be located in Hartford, Worcester, Boston, Springfield, or Great Barrington.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
