Engagement Coordinator
Join Aprio's Client Accounting Services team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for an Engagement Coordinator to join their dynamic team.
The Engagement Coordinator, Client Accounting Services (CAS) supports the successful execution of complex client accounting engagements by providing project coordination, reporting, and operational support. This role partners closely with Directors, Managers, and engagement teams to help ensure work is organized, resourced, tracked, and delivered on time.
The Engagement Coordinator will support one or more large-scale CAS engagements, assisting with scheduling, deliverable tracking, engagement metrics, documentation, and communication. This role is well-suited for someone with experience in an accounting or finance environment who is innovative, technology-driven, and interested in growing into broader project or engagement leadership roles.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support one or more large, complex CAS engagements by coordinating schedules, deliverables, and recurring engagement activities
- Maintain project plans, trackers, dashboards, and engagement metrics to support timely execution and leadership visibility
- Help ensure deliverables are assigned, progress is tracked, deadlines are met, and coverage needs are identified early
- Assist with preparation of client-facing and leadership materials, including presentations, reports, dashboards, and meeting materials
- Support client meetings through agenda coordination, documentation, and action-item tracking
- Leverage technology and project tools to improve engagement organization, reporting, and workflow efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting, and improve coordination through better use of systems and tools
- Assist with onboarding and training of new hires on engagement structure, tools, and expectations
- Support documentation and ongoing maintenance of internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engagement documentation
Qualifications:
Required- 4–6 years of experience in a project coordination, engagement coordination, or operational support role within an accounting, finance, or professional services environment
- Familiarity with accounting or finance terminology and common engagement workflows
- Strong project management, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong presentation and formatting skills
- Comfort working with technology and systems, with an interest in using tools to improve efficiency
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred- Experience supporting client-facing engagements
- Prior exposure to government contracting or regulated environments
- Experience using project or workflow management tools
$24.04 - $36.06 an hour The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
