Technical Services Specialist, Associate

This position is for an associate-level Technical Services Specialist. The role involves assisting senior real-time desk operators in overseeing a generation fleet in real-time energy markets and completing daily recurring shift tasks. The successful candidate will apply technical knowledge to a variety of assignments, requiring attention to detail, clear communication, and adherence to established procedures. This role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior trader/operators with overseeing the generation fleet in real-time markets.
• Complete daily recurring shift tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Apply knowledge of power generation economics and dispatch characteristics.
• Utilize understanding of ISO/RTO protocols and market portals across various energy markets.
• Work with transmission reservation and tagging systems.
• Plan and develop technical projects under guidance.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures with judgment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Required Qualifications

Education: A High School Diploma/GED is required. An Associate degree or a Bachelor's degree (completed or in substantial progress) is also acceptable.

Experience: 0 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.

Skills:

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to work a 12-hour rotating shift (Dupont Schedule).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• 1 or more years of experience as a generator operator or in a control center.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is $30.00 to $33.76 per hour. Please note that a worker furlough may apply, typically coinciding with select national holidays.
