Account Manager (Government Relations And Strategic Communications)

The role of Account Manager (Government Relations and Strategic Communications) will support client service across our growing U.S. and international client base. At Red Flag, Account Managers are responsible for developing and executing government relations and communications plans, monitoring news and policy developments, analyzing and researching client issues, and supporting account servicing teams in other ways, as assigned.

This is a full-time position based in our office in Washington, DC, with arrangements for hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Support programming for the Washington International Business Council (WIBC), to including providing input on and attending discussions.
  • Support for the delivery of client service requests, as assigned, to include research and drafting that may cover various thematic, geographic, sectoral, or company-specific issues depending on clients' needs.
  • Support execution of communications and public affairs strategies on behalf of major clients in a range of sectors.
  • Monitor and analyze media, social media, and policy developments, as assigned, and draft timely reports for clients.
  • Draft and deliver high-quality written products for internal and external purposes, including briefing papers, talking points, press releases, social media content, and presentations.
  • Support business development, including through identifying business opportunities and developing proposal ideas and materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience
