As a business partner to the Buyer's Team, the Account Manager is responsible for supporting and growing business development and customer relationships for scrap metal products. The Account Manager ensures that all preliminary and preparatory account management steps (scale ticket creation, load delivery, dispatch, and pricing) are properly and efficiently supported, so the Buyer has the best conditions for success and can optimize the business relationship. By proactively identifying pricing anomalies and understanding overall dynamics with buyers, the account manager plays a key role in supporting the right data analysis, decision-making, and added value in the process.
This exciting position requires a dynamic individual with initiative who can work closely with all company staff and departments, as well as customers and suppliers.
What you're responsible for:
• Supporting the buyer by automating the pricing calculation process (formula sheets, pricing calculations, and pricing agreement reviews), handling the paperwork and commodity validation, and setting checklists to ensure standard operating procedures.
• Reporting preparation to support accurate decision-making, proactive troubleshooting management (pricing and payables), and routing to the right stakeholders. We provide the right information and updates to customer management within committed and defined timelines to ensure action and transactions. Customer information is also kept up to date in our CRM to support business decisions.
• Assisting in coordinating deliveries with suppliers and receiving material on site. Assisting dispatchers with delivering and collecting materials, equipment, and containers to ensure the customer receives the best service.
• Coordinating with administrative staff and the sales team to ensure the accurate and timely documentation of all purchase transactions. Source information.
• Creating and track purchase orders from the CRM.
Although this is an office role, an onboarding period of three months is planned to gain the necessary business knowledge and perform better in the role by developing a complete understanding of the value chain. This exciting opportunity could later lead to a move into buyer/sales roles or site manager positions.
