Account Manager

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor by educating clients on group health markets (small and large), funding mechanisms (fully insured, self-insured, captives), ACA compliance, and ancillary lines; provide strategic plan recommendations based on experience and MLR trends
  • Lead renewal negotiations with carriers, develop multi-year benefit strategies, coordinate enrollments and wellness programs, and facilitate employee education sessions and client meetings (in-person or virtual)
  • Partner with underwriters, carriers, and TPAs to deliver client solutions; maintain strong client relationships; ensure all service inquiries and compliance requirements are managed accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of group benefits or employee benefits consulting experience with deep understanding of funding structures, compliance, and carrier relations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hybrid environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant insurance license(s) required; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and related benefits administration systems

Additional Information

This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.

Salary range is $75K to 85K per year.
