How Will You Contribute And Grow?

The Client Service Technician (CST) transports, delivers, and installs homecare equipment (including oxygen cylinders) to patients and institutions while maintaining safe operation of the company vehicle and providing outstanding customer service. The CST delivers quality patient care by educating patients on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the equipment. The CST will carry out all responsibilities in keeping with Air Liquide Healthcare's safety and quality practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to team effort by supporting other team members to satisfy both internal and external customers.
  • Contributing to a safe working environment by participating in safety meetings and initiatives, working in a safe manner and encouraging others to do so, and reporting unsafe occurrences and/or practices.
  • Complying with organizational vehicle policies and procedures, and highway rules and regulations. Ensuring safe supply of gases to clients homes and transporting medical gases according to procedures and regulations.
  • Inspecting vehicle before and after use; documenting inspection. Maintaining a clean vehicle and ensuring it is stocked with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), safety equipment, tools, and other supplies.
  • Ensuring correct loading of vehicle by identifying product requirements for the day/week, and unloading product or material in compliance with safety and legislative requirements.
  • Meeting client needs by delivering products according to schedule and as required.
  • Setting up homecare equipment at patients' home, providing training to new clients and responding to requests from current clients. Providing client education on equipment function, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Performing technical checks and reviews safety instructions with clients. Maintaining up-to-date documentation by completing appropriate records for technical visits including equipment exchanges, deliveries, and pick-up of equipment.
  • Ensuring operation of medical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturers' instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; in the event that the work required exceeds the qualifications or abilities of the CST, they should manage the downstream workflow, which may involve sending the equipment back to the manufacturer or internal service center, and handling the required documentation.
  • Performing warehouse duties in the branches they cover by stocking shelves with supplies, shipping and receiving of products, and equipment cleaning and disinfection of patient equipment.
  • Documenting client care and services by completing clear, accurate and timely delivery records.
  • Maintaining client confidentiality as per Air Liquide Healthcare policy, agreements in place, and local regulations.
  • Protecting clients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
  • Seeking to continuously improve the operation of the branch by understanding processes and workflow and participating in quality improvement activities.
  • Complying with applicable certification requirements and making recommendations to management on needed actions.
  • Providing after hour service to clients by participating in branch on-call rotation.
  • Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure the effective use of product and treatment.
  • Other duties as required.

Are You A Match?

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of consecutive recent driving/delivery experience.
  • 2-3 years Customer service experience.
  • Clean and valid driver's abstract.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Basic computer / tablet skills.
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of respiratory home care equipment preferred; ability and willingness to learn and understand homecare equipment used by patients.
  • Basic mechanical/repair skills.
