Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Coordinator to be a key member of an exciting, fast-paced program that AECOM is leading supporting installation of broadband network facilities along state routes and interstate highway. AECOM is providing on-call environmental services to facilitate the approvals of encroachment permits, right-of-way agreements, and other discretionary actions from the California Department of Transportation.

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated candidate to facilitate tracking of project data and tasks and provide day-to-day support the project manager and project team. This full-time position is located in our San Diego, CA office with a hybrid work option (i.e., combination of working from the office and/or from a remote location).

Please note: This position is a project-specific hire with expected contract date through December 2026 (but is dependent on client authorization of contracted work and contingent on contract terms and conditions). There is no guarantee of work outside of this project assignment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage digital workflow for environmental permitting and compliance.
  • Support to the Project Manager and project team, as needed, to establish and maintain project progress through planning, permitting, and construction for broadband project.
  • May be tasked with other tracking items necessary to obtain project approvals and complete implementation.
  • Assist with preparation of meeting agendas and materials, document coordination, file organization, and schedule tracking.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/ and or education with administrative project management experience.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft software suite.
  • Knowledge of digital workflow and data tracking tools/dashboards such as SmartSheets, Monday, and other digital workflow programs.
  • Ability to thrive in quickly changing environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
