Key Account Manager

A global transportation and logistics organization is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to oversee and grow strategic client relationships. This role is responsible for managing high-value accounts, ensuring operational excellence across shipments, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class service.

This is a client-facing, operations-focused position ideal for someone with strong logistics experience who thrives in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow strategic accounts within the transportation and logistics sector

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients

• Oversee operational execution of shipments including transportation, warehousing, and distribution

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service excellence and on-time delivery

• Develop and implement account strategies to drive retention and revenue growth

• Analyze account performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement

• Prepare and present operational and performance reports to clients and leadership

• Ensure client satisfaction while supporting operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

• 5+ years of key account management experience within transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics

• Strong understanding of supply chain operations including air, ocean, warehousing, and distribution

• Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and CRM platforms preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international logistics and customs regulations

• Background in sales support or business development within logistics

• Advanced knowledge of industry trends and best practices
