Project Coordinator – Energy Efficiency

This position supports one of the largest energy initiatives in New York City, focused on multifamily buildings. Due to rapid program growth, the team has expanded and split into two tracks—this role supports a newly launched track under a new Program Manager, offering clear visibility and room for advancement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate project intake and guide contractors through the full lifecycle—from engagement to final payment
  • Review energy savings calculations and inspection results
  • Track and manage projects using internal data systems
  • Collect and verify documentation (equipment specs, financials, housing qualifications, etc.)
  • Communicate with internal teams, contractors, and clients
  • Attend industry events and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with program standards and support quality assurance
  • Monitor progress and contribute to process improvements

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering or a related field)
  • 1–2 years of experience in energy efficiency, multifamily housing, or project coordination
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency principles and technologies
  • Proficiency in project tracking tools and software

Preferred skills:

  • Understanding of HVAC systems, building envelope, boilers, and electrification technologies
  • Experience working with low-to-moderate income housing programs
  • Ability to analyze technical elements of building systems (lighting, HVAC, hot water, etc.)
  • Comfort with public speaking and client presentations
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Work environment:

  • Hybrid schedule: 2 days/week in the Financial District office
  • Collaborative team reporting to a Program Manager
  • Fast-paced, mission-driven environment with growth opportunities

Ready to help shape the future of energy efficiency in NYC?

Apply now and be part of a team driving real impact across the city's multifamily housing sector.
