Regional Account Manager (M/W/D) – Ostdeutschland

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) ensures the achievement of sales goals in line with the Abbott Point of Care (APOC) mission. He works with customers and decision-makers to develop solutions that improve their performance and lead to better patient outcomes. The RAM strengthens the brand reputation and contributes to the achievement of sales and profitability goals. The aim is to grow the APOC business in the responsible region.

Tasks:

  • Responsibility for sales goals in the area including forecasting, sales planning, and goal achievement
  • Development and implementation of strategies to increase sales in existing and new accounts
  • Building, maintaining, and expanding customer relationships – including management level and key opinion leaders
  • Presentation of innovative solutions to improve customer outcomes
  • Contract management, negotiations, and strategic account development
  • Effective pricing and offer creation taking into account market and competition data
  • Participation in trade fairs and congresses for networking and market observation
  • Utilization and maintenance of the CRM database to ensure precise analyses and forecasts
  • Identification and implementation of improvements in commercial processes

Requirements:

  • University or bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, medicine, or business or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred
  • Professional experience in the medical sales environment, ideally for medical products or in-vitro diagnostics
  • Extensive experience in contract management and contract negotiations
  • Experience in the use of CRM databases
  • Ability to work with MS Office and in virtual environments (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Travel readiness of approx. 60% within the assigned area
  • Negotiating proficiency in German and English
