The Food Safety and Safety Manager is responsible for implementing and enforcing Food Safety and Safety programs across assigned plants and regions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for operations teams, monitors all Food Safety metrics, conducts audits, delivers training, compiles data and reports, attends customer reviews, and provides third-party audit support.
Compensation: $80k-90K Based on Experience

Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED; relevant manufacturing or production experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in microbiology, food safety, agricultural science, or related field.
Experience: Required: 2+ years of successful experience in a manufacturing or production environment; experience in QA/Safety roles; 2+ years of sanitation experience; knowledge of food safety and safety regulations. Preferred: 5+ years in management in manufacturing; 1+ year QA Specialist/Technician in food manufacturing; 3+ years people-management experience in compliance/audit teams; bilingual preferred.
Specialized Skills: Required: Knowledge of processing industry work requirements; strong time management; self-motivated; problem-solver; proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Preferred: Familiar with GMPs; chemical knowledge related to microorganism elimination; experience with BRC, SQF, USDA, FDA, and FSA audits.

Work Environment:
Home-office based when not traveling. PPE is required at plants (safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection). Work includes standing, walking, sitting, and computer use. Extended driving or travel required.
