Summary:

The National Accounts Specialist will take ownership of all aspects that apply to their assigned Executives and Customers.  It is imperative to be detail-oriented, have all work consistently up to date, and guarantee accuracy. The ability to use independent judgment is crucial to understand the needs of the Executive Team and the Customer.  Collaboration with the team at certain times is a must, as issues may arise, and helping each other strengthens the team's skills. All support aspects must be organized, accurate, and completed on time.  On top of normal duties, the position may require flexibility as needed for special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to independently organize each day to maximize efficiency and productivity based on outstanding workload
  • Obtain, document, and maintain National Account customer processes and procedures for accounts set up, receiving purchase orders, use of customer portals, shipping needs, billing requirements, and payment process
  • Maintain and administer the customer rebate and payment process
  • Provide reporting for customer sales, incentive accruals, Ad Hoc and other analysis needs
  • Identify and resolve process issues
  • Monitor accounts to confirm that business requirements and account setup reflect the process accurately
  • Communicate process changes and other important notices to all relevant parties
  • Customer portal administration
  • Conduct live training for National Accounts service branches and provide ongoing support
  • PowerPoint preparation and coordination for NSC visits, tradeshows, branch trainings and specialty events
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • General accounting experience and skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter
  • Analytical thinker
