This position reports to Sales Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

ABB's Installation Products business is comprised of 38 marquee brands, within the Thomas & Betts portfolio. The business is focused on reciprocal partnerships with our channel partners, providing high quality products while stimulating new demand. ELIP's National Account Manager for Graybar will represent the T&B business, speaking for all aspects of the ELIP organization. The NAM will collaborate with functional stakeholders to execute ELIP's go-to-market strategy. Our candidate will be measured on total account growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. The NAM will also lead all contract negotiations including VIDs, MSA and any special situations, representing Electrification Installation Products (ELIP). You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Manage the total customer relationship with ABB.
  • Develop the relationship between ABB and Strategic Accounts at all levels both within ABB and within the customers.
  • Apply a high level of business acumen, including an understanding of the customer's business drivers, industry, economic trends, issues and competition.
  • Act as focal point for problem resolution and monitor the Customer Complaint Resolution Process
  • Maximize the consistency of customer experience throughout all contacts with ABB.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing profitability growth, identifying a target for each solution element

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Marketing or business administration or technical field / advanced degree desirable
  • 7+ years related experience
  • Sales experience of managing $25M+ business portfolio
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
  • Senior Account Management experience
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
