Account Manager Opportunity At Telia Suomen Wholesale

Wholesale is one of Telia’s three business units alongside Consumer and Enterprise. We are responsible for the development and sales of Telia Wholesale services to our designated customers. Our unit has a strong product portfolio and a professional staff ensuring high customer satisfaction and business growth. Our next opportunity

I am Kimmo Yrjölä from the Sales and Business Management team in Telia Suomen’s Wholesale unit. We are now looking for an Account Manager to take charge of managing and leading customer accounts and creating growth conditions together with our Business Managers. The role’s customer base consists of both international and local operators.

In our unit, the Account Manager role is multifaceted, including sales and stakeholder work as well as identifying and developing business opportunities related to our customers. Technical expertise and network knowledge are an advantage to commercial skills. Cooperation with other Telia business units and stakeholders is also part of your job description. A positive attitude and a desire to learn new things are important. The work is long-term and project-based.

Your duties include:

  • Managing and leading customer accounts
  • Growing revenue through sales and new customers
  • Maintaining and increasing customer satisfaction
  • Mapping customer needs
  • Developing the Wholesale product portfolio based on customer feedback together with Business Managers in the same team
  • Assembling and leading necessary stakeholders, for example in large tenders
  • Participating in sales and customer strategy work, for example to create new business models
  • Documenting customer events and sharing market and customer information

We expect from you:

  • Enthusiasm, proactivity, and solution-oriented thinking
  • Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Salesmanship or evidence of successful sales work, commercial, and customer-oriented insight
  • Experience in customer interface work
  • Understanding of the different stages of the sales process
  • Strong stakeholder management and experience in moving things forward
  • Knowledge of fixed network business and technology and a desire to learn more
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
  • International business experience is considered an advantage
  • Commercial or technical education
  • Willingness to travel abroad occasionally (estimate 1 time/6 months)
