Strategic Account Manager (Category Merchant Manager)

Do you want to be part of Amazon's fast-growing online grocery proposition? Grocery Partnerships team is seeking a customer-obsessed, creative, highly entrepreneurial and experienced Account Manager (a.k.a. Category Merchant Manager, CMM) to join our fast-paced team and play a critical role in our growth strategy. We're looking for a talented person who will be responsible for account managing our business which is expanding through new initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting and ground-breaking new initiative at Amazon with a focus on defining a business in its early stages. In this role, you will be expected to help drive Partner's grocery business on Amazon, and will contribute building new business models and new initiatives for grocery. You will be in charge of program managing a new initiative while driving day-to-day aspects of the Grocery partnership business to meet our business targets. You will need proven ability to negotiate and roll out complex programs, business terms, develop and manage relationships, drive results and demonstrate competency with business and financial analytics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Marketing, Product/Program, Finance and Legal to secure high quality service level, develop selection and drive business activities in order to secure sustainable growth. You must be an effective leader and communicator to deliver through our partners ensuring deadlines and profitability goals are met. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering the best customer experience online and has the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key job responsibilities:

  • P&L Owner: Responsible for building goals/targets and managing the Third Party Marketplace business for grocery. Communicate with internal leaderships as well as the person of contact in our partner merchants.
  • Account Strategy: Own the business account management, build the short-term, long-term strategy, maximizing growth and ensuring revenue/profitability goals are met.
