As the Public Sector Account Executive within Amazon Web Services (AWS) focusing on the Korea Healthcare, Academic Health Education, Clinical Research Institutions, Health Tech and Bio Informatics markets, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services and platform within the sectors' communities.
Your responsibilities will include helping to define key Healthcare, Academic Health Education, Clinical Research Institutions, Health Tech and Bio Informatics (Genomics) market segments to target, driving the necessary business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new business in those markets, and enabling the sales team drive the day-to-day interactions with prospects in order to build long-term business opportunity. You'll also work closely with the product/service teams to help them evolve the products/services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the high-level health educators and researchers, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.

AWS Korea (Public Sector)
The AWS Public Sector Healthcare & Research team is responsible for driving innovation and growth in the cloud for customers ranging from the fastest-growing university hospitals, health tech, and pharmaceutical companies in the public sector to colleges and universities, community colleges, and government lab customers with market-driven cloud needs. The AWS Healthcare & Research team interacts with major healthcare companies and leading universities, and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. Specifically, the Research team is responsible for introducing and delivering cloud solutions to customers at national universities, science centers, and major government research organizations.
